GOOD
JOB!
The URL
that you typed brought you to the next page of the Internet lesson.
Stop for a minute
and look at the URL in your location toolbar. Notice that
your browser has added something at the beginning of the URL you
typed in. The URL now starts with "http://".HTTP stands for "Hypertext
Transfer Protocol." Hypertext Transfer Protocol is the way computers
send information back and forth on the World Wide Web. When
you tell a browser that you want a web page, the browser
automatically uses HTTP to get it. You don't have to type in "http://".
